Fortune Palace

We have been driving past this place for 2 years and finally decided to go and check it out. It’s Sunday early afternoon and we were the only ones in there. But, the food was absolutely beautiful and the owner was super helpful, friendly and attentive. We did order way too much food for two people, but we could not fault it. We will most definitely be back. All this food + 2 soft drinks was £84. We will also have leftovers now for at least two days. We ordered off a main menu.

The buffet menu is amazing. We pay the set price and manage to get all our favourite starters including the delicious duck pancakes then a main meal. The food is always freshly prepared, prompt to serve and the best Chinese food around. The staff are friendly and not too overbearing nor over the top. The restaurant although a little dated is always clean, tidy and welcoming. I always have an enjoyable visit here and the mood is always relaxed, it’s a little escapism for the time we are there. We have had deliveries from them too, the delivery charge is less than other takeaways

I’m currently sat here inside the restaurant, having not even finished my meal yet and I am so so so impressed with this restaurant! The food (House Special Curry with Steamed Rice) is absolutely 10/10! Prices are reasonable as stated in other reviews and my food and drink were served to me within 10 minutes of ordering. The staff here are so welcoming, lovely lady at the bar and attending customers, and a lovely fella who served me my food. This place may be busy sometimes and get overwhelmed which is a shame, but this being my first visit I am extremely impressed! We are the only ones in here sat down having a meal and only two people have been in to pick up an order since we sat down which is a real shame. Lovely place would highly recommend!

I ordered a take-away. The telephonist was pleasant, quick delivery, food was hot and delicious. Best chinese to date.

Great food, cooked fresh so crispy food was crispy and delicious, food served hot. Tasted fantastic.

The buffet is so good, good price, and the food was lovely! The service is also really good and the waiter was really kind and nice to us. I would recommend this place if you want to have a nice meal, with a nice atmosphere.

We recently moved to a small village near Sherborne and have been trying to find a new Chinese takeaway. Fortune Palace is excellent, the food is very good quality and not greasy at all. Great flavours, textures and excellent seasoning. A friendly welcome when collecting our order and always piping hot.
